Tommaso Venturini has a research position at the Chair of Design Informatics at TUDelft. The position is part of the granted research project TERRA-Ink (Lighthouse 4TU, which was initiated on the basis of Tommaso’s proposal). Thanks to his academic background, which included both studies in the fields of architecture and engineering, Tommaso is oriented towards architectural solutions that balance technique and aesthetics. He is particularly involved in environmental sustainability, not just regarding aspects of energy and cost savings, but also as a responsible and ethical way to work. Likewise, he is interested in 3D printing technology and additive manufacturing combined with manual labour as a way to provide low-cost, high-efficient and open-source solutions. His curiosity and open-mindness led him to often travel and live abroad.
