Fengnian Tian has a Post-Doc position at the Chair of Design Informatics at TUDelft. The position is part of the granted research project ADAM (STW-NWO). His expertise is summarized as following:
• Design Automation: In depth knowledge of model-based engineering and knowledge-based engineering techniques. Experience developing design and simulation envelopes for complex systems.
• Multidisciplinary Design Optimization: In depth knowledge of optimization framework, evolutionary algorithms, and decision-making strategies. Experience solving a mixed-integer multiobjective multidisciplinary optimization problem.
• Mechanical Design: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to integrate design and manufacturing methods into product concepts and designs. Proﬁciency with AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Control System Design: Experience designing open-loop, closed-loop, adaptive PID, and model-based inversion controller. Proﬁciency modeling the dynamics of complex systems. Knowledge of system theory including linear and nonlinear stability, state space methods, full state feedback control, and state estimation.
